Supercars records record number across digital channels at Repco Bathurst 1000
Record TikTok views equated to a year's worth of views across four days

On the back of record broadcast and streaming numbers, Supercars has recorded its strongest-ever digital performance during the Repco Bathurst 1000, underscoring the event’s status as one of Australia’s most-watched sporting spectacles.
On social media the popularity of the sport was clear to see, with the Bathurst event generating a year’s worth of TikTok views in just four days.
From Chaz Mostert’s famous beer after his engine failure mid-race, to Kai Allen’s near miss of a Kangaroo at close to 300km/h and the enthralling vision of the final laps of the Great Race video footage of the event generated interest from around the globe.
This includes:
Total Video Watch Time: 26.6 million minutes across social, web, and app platforms.
Total Video Views: 44.3 million – a 209% increase on 2024 (14.3 million).
Social Media Reach: 39.1 million.
Social Growth:
Instagram followers grew 3% to 458,049.
TikTok followers surged 7% to 397,018.
Website & App Performance:
Combined page and screen views: 6.3 million.
Website visits: 2.1 million (+27% YoY).
App users: 67,958 (+35% YoY).
Web page views: 3.98 million (+29% YoY).
App screen views: 2.3 million.
News article page views: 831,000.
TikTok Milestone:
The platform delivered 23.7 million views in race week alone, nearly matching our previous annual record of 26.5 million (set in 2022). In other words, Bathurst generated a year’s worth of TikTok views in just four days.
Supercars Chief Executive James Warburton said: “Bathurst continues to be the heartbeat of Australian motorsport, and this year it set a new bar for engagement on every screen.
“44.3 million video views—up 209% year-on-year—and 26.6 million minutes watched show fans are consuming the Great Race across social, web and our app at unprecedented scale.
“Delivering 23.7 million TikTok views in race week alone—virtually a full year’s result compressed into four days - proves Supercars is resonating with new, younger audiences while deepening loyalty with our core fans.
“It’s a powerful signal for our partners that premium Australian sport can drive meaningful reach and attention in digital environments.”
All attention now turns to next week’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, the first-ever Finals event in the history of the Repco Supercars Championship.
Ten of the 24 drivers racing on the streets of Surfers Paradise are still in Championship contention, only seven will remain in the hunt after the GC500.
