2014 Championship Calendar Locked In

V8 Supercars has confirmed next year’s Perth 400 has been locked in for the weekend of May 16-18 at Barbagallo Raceway, Wanneroo.
Also confirmed is the August 1-3 date for the Coates Hire Ipswich 400 at Queensland Raceway.
The highly successful Perth 400, one of Western Australia’s largest annual events, was subject to confirmation of the date as Eventscorp, Tourism WA’s events division, was finalising its overall events calendar for 2014.
The May event will be the fourth SuperSprint event in 2014 featuring two 100km races on Saturday and a single 200km race on Sunday, giving West Australian fans more racing and action.
Perth will also host the third event in the Dunlop Series as part of a full support category card, as well as V8 Supercar practice on Friday and qualifying sessions on Saturday and Sunday morning.
V8 Supercars has finalised the agreement with Queensland Raceway for the Coates Hire Ipswich 400, which is also a SuperSprint event including the Dunlop Series and a range of supports.
The SuperSprint format is part of a standardisation of race weekends into three clear formats - SuperSprint, SuperStreet and the PIRTEK Enduro Cup.
