A late starter to motor racing, Hamish Fitzsimmons has caught the eye of many in his rise through the ranks.
Fitzsimmons only started karting at age 12, but quickly made a name for himself on the national scene, and also qualified for several main events on the global scene in the Middle East and America.
A three-time karting champion in Queensland, Fitzsimmons' first steps into car racing came via a Toyota 86 test in 2022, however such was his speed that he was advised to jump straight into the Porsche Sprint Challenge.
His rookie season netted fourth, before a link up with former Supercars engineer Paul Ceprnich brought his first race wins, and despite missing the final two rounds, sixth in the championship.
Carrera Cup was the next stop, finishing 11th in the standings with two fourth place finishes at Bathurst his best results of the year.
Now, he steps into an ex-Tickford Mustang run by Masterton Motorsport, who made a one-off appearance last year at Bathurst with 2016 Great Race winner Jonathon Webb.
