Matt Stone Racing's wildcard returns in 2026, with Aaron Seton set to drive a third Camaro for the Queensland squad at Townsville and Ipswich.
Seton was originally only scheduled to compete at Ipswich, however Cameron Crick elected to withdraw as a result of minor health concerns, with Seton stepping up to the plate.
The #30 Chevrolet will run in the iconic blue, red, and yellow made famous by his father Glenn in the late 1980s and early 1990s, before Crick and Seton join MSR full-timers Jack Le Brocq and Zach Bates respectively for the enduros.
MSR launched their wildcard program last year, with Crick driving solo rounds at Sydney and Ipswich before being joined by Seton for the enduros, finishing a respectable 15th at Bathurst.
Proud supporters of young talent, MSR set about blazing a trail with its SuperLite program in which rookies Zane Goddard and Jake Kostecki shared a Commodore in 2020. Both drivers competed for the team on a full-time basis in 2021.
It was with Todd Hazelwood that the team claimed the 2017 Dunlop Super2 Series title, paving the way for their rise to the main game.
That first top level campaign proved a learning curve, with an ex-DJR Team Penske Falcon being parked mid-year in favour of their Super2-winning VF Commodore.
An upgraded chassis for 2019 brought far better results, before the team brought in the SuperLite program for 2020.
The team have become race winning threats in the Gen3 era, with Jack Le Brocq, Nick Percat, and Cameron Hill all winning races for the team since 2023.
MSR owner Matt Stone is the son of Supercars Hall of Famer Jim, who ran the triple championship-winning Stone Brothers Racing outfit until 2012.
Based in Yatala, Queensland, MSR started out a one-car Super2 squad in 2011, and have returned to the development series in 2026 with Kiwi Ayrton Hodson and former FIA F3 driver Tommy Smith.
