Rising stars Chaz Mostert and Scott Pye will feature on tomorrow night's edition of Inside Supercars, after standout performances at Winton.
While Mostert's weekend was marred by a small but costly error in Sunday's race - while in the lead - the Pepsi Max Prodrive star earned all three ARMOR ALL Pole Positions and a race win across the weekend.
That victory was his first Championship race win since last year's fairytale Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
Mostert told v8supercars.com.au the weekend taught him a lot about himself as a driver and a person, the 23-year old learning to cope with pressure on the big stage and strike while the iron is hot.
"You can drop the bottom lip I guess, drag it around and beat yourself up but everyone makes mistakes," he said.
"There's not one person in the field who hasn't crashed a car before - and if they haven't, congratulations to them, but they're not trying hard enough.
"We're all pushing out there 110 per cent and unfortunately some days it bites you."
Meanwhile Pye, who has taken the reins at DJR Team Penske, catapulted the developing team into eighth at the Victorian circuit, earning its first top 10 finish since the official amalgamation of Dick Johnson Racing and Penske Racing for the 2015 season.
On the back of the performance came more good news, that Marcos Ambrose was set to return to the cockpit for running at the SKYCITY Triple Crown - the next event on the calendar, in Darwin - most likely as an additional driver in Friday's session as part of the team's preparation for the PIRTEK Enduro Cup.
Pye told v8supercars.com.au he is really looking forward to Ambrose's feedback after the changes they've made to the car, and will be on the hunt for a top 12 finish at Hidden Valley.
"We're not trying to rewrite record books yet, we're just trying to get the car in the window and then we can roll out at tracks at future rounds competitive straight away," he explained.
Pye and Mostert have an interesting history, as both were part of the 'class of 2012' Dunlop Series, considered one of the best years of the development category, with Scott McLaughlin and Nick Percat also racing and competing for the title.
All four now feature in the V8 Supercars Championship and are considered promising talents of the future. McLaughlin was awarded the Barry Sheene Medal for fairest and best last year, and Percat is a Bathurst 1000 winner, having driven and won with Garth Tander in 2011.
Also featuring on the show will be The Daily Telegraph's James Phelps with the latest news and rumours, special guest Liz Ellis, and features with medical delegate Dr Carl Le and support category commentator and v8supercars.com.au columnist Chad Neylon.
Stay tuned at 7.30pm tomorrow night on FOX SPORTS 506 for Inside Supercars.
