Will Brown secures NASCAR Xfinity Series call-up
Brown to tackle Portland Xfinity Series race later this month
Triple Eight driver sits second in Supercars standings
Supercars champion Will Brown will return to the United States for a second crack at the NASCAR circuit in 2025.
The Triple Eight Race Engineering star will tackle the Xfinity Series race at Portland at the end of the month.
It comes just weeks after Brown made a second Cup Series start at the Chicago street race, with his day ending on lap 3.
The 27-year-old will again line up with Kaulig Racing, this time in an Xfinity-specification Chevrolet Camaro.
“Very excited to be racing NASCAR again with Kaulig Racing,” Brown wrote on social media.
“Looking forward to having a crack at the Xfinity Series.”
Brown’s latest opportunity comes after Kaulig Racing split with Josh Williams.
Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar took over the car at Iowa last weekend, with teammate Michael McDowell racing it at Watkins Glen this weekend.
Brown will become the fifth different driver of Kaulig #11 entry.
The Xfinity cameo also pits Brown against former co-driver Jack Perkins, who will steer a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.
Brown is second in the Supercars standings heading to this weekend’s Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440.
