The Repco Supercars Championship returns to Sydney Motorsport Park for this weekend’s 11th round of the 2021 season.
The Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight marks the final of four back-to-back weekends of racing.
With two days until the cars hit the track for Practice 1 on Friday, Supercars.com has listed some answers to key questions ahead of the event.
The Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight will be a three-day event held across November 19-21.
The race weekend will feature dual 250-kilometre races, one under lights on Saturday and one on Sunday. Click here to purchase tickets.
It will mark the first refuelling races since July's NTI Townsville 500.
Drivers will be competing for the Beaurepaires Sydney Cup, which will be awarded to the driver who accumulates the most points over the four Supercars rounds.
The Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight will be staged in accordance with all applicable Government regulations, including those responding to COVID-19, as well as a detailed COVIDSafe Event Plan prepared by Sydney Motorsport Park and approved by the NSW Government.
There will be up to 10,000 attendees each day of the event.
The Supercars paddock will not be open to fans; however, the Support Category Paddock will be accessible with a Trackside ticket. Pit roof access is free with Trackside admission.
Corporate experience guests will be able to park inside the venue, with vehicle access via Gate AA. Corporate suites are a short walk through the tunnel with access via the stairwells of the pit building.
When attending the event, please ensure you check in via the Service NSW App and use the QR code at the gate. All patrons are required to present their proof of double vaccination OR their NSW Health-certified medical dispensation before entering SMSP.
Event organisers encourage attendees to stay COVID Safe by washing their hands as often as possible, keeping a safe distance from others and checking in using the NSW Service App. To download the app, click here.
Face masks will be mandatory indoors as per current health regulations or if you can't maintain social distancing regulations.
The support line-up will feature the Dunlop Super2 and Super3 Series, Trans AM Series, S5000 and the Toyota 86 Series.
On-track sessions will commence at 12:55pm AEDT on Friday November 19, when the popular Trans AM category begins practice.
Supercars will hit the Eastern Creek circuit for an Additional Drivers practice session at 4:40pm AEDT, followed by Practice 2 from 7:45pm AEDT on Friday. Check out the full weekend schedule here.
Merchandise stalls will be open, located behind the Grandstands.
Public food and bar outlets will be operating, with locations behind the grandstand, and beer garden located between the Grandstand and Turn 1, as well as on the pit roof and the Paddock Cafe (just outside of the Paddock).
All sessions will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and streamed via Kayo. The Seven Network will broadcast live from 3:30pm AEDT on Saturday and 12:30pm AEDT on Sunday. Check out the full TV schedule here.
Children aged 15 and under are free to enter the venue in general admission areas; however, they must be always accompanied by their ticket-holding parent or guardian. Children require tickets for hospitality and grandstand areas.
Access to the event is through Gate A and Gate C for pedestrians.
Gates open at 12.30pm AEDT for viewing of practice sessions by Supercars, Super2 Series, Trans AM, S5000 and the Toyota 86 Series on Friday.
Gates open at 11:30am AEDT on Saturday and 9:00am AEDT on Sunday.
Sydney Motorsport Park is located approximately 40km west of Sydney’s CBD on Brabham Drive/Ferrers Road at Eastern Creek.
Spectator parking on Friday will be available inside Sydney Motorsport Park. Entry is via Gate A off Ferrers Road.
Spectator parking on Saturday and Sunday is available at the Sydney Dragway. Entry is via the Sydney Dragway main entrance off Ferrers Road (SMSP Gate A).
Fans are welcome to bring pre-packaged food such as sandwiches, fruit, biscuits, crisps, etc, and non-alcoholic beverages that are in non-shatter containers – i.e. no glass bottles. No BYO alcohol allowed.
Supercars encourages fans to bring their chairs and picnic blankets into the General Admission areas but must adhere to applicable social distancing requirements when placing chairs on viewing mounds.
There is limited shade, so umbrellas are recommended. Sydney Motorsport Park does not allow spectators to bring tents, canopies, or any form of scaffolding.
Please be courteous when queuing for entry/exit, for food and beverages, or for merchandise purchases, and always keep 1.5 metres from other patrons.
Please use the sanitiser stations available to you at key entry and exit points.
Otherwise, as with all events, patrons must not attend if feeling unwell or if they have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case.
