Triple Eight runs promo livery at shakedown

Triple Eight Race Engineering is running a special livery at its new-car shakedown, pointing towards its upcoming livery launch.

The team has built two brand-new Chevrolet Camaros for Broc Feeney and recruit Will Brown for the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship.

Triple Eight is using Wednesday's laps at Queensland Raceway to not only get some miles on its new cars, but also publicise its upcoming 'Livery Landing' season launch.

Teams are permitted 60km of running per car at a shakedown, with Feeney and Brown both hitting the track. Matt Stone Racing is also holding a rookie test for Cameron Hill, with Dick Johnson Racing conducting engine validation testing.

Wednesday also marked Brown's first laps in a Triple Eight-built Gen3 Camaro Supercar.

Triple Eight's new Red Bull Ampol Racing livery will be unveiled at Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport on Saturday February 3 in a special launch event, which is free to the public.

The event will be held from 3:00pm to 7:00pm local time, with Feeney and Brown both on hand to reveal their new looks and launch the team's campaign.

The 'Livery Landing' is coming in Brown's hometown, with the Toowoomba native himself a pilot. Red Bull Air Race champion Matt Hall will also perform aerobatic displays.

The shakedown livery has Red Bull's standard usual blue and red hues, but carries 'Livery Landing' branding.

The team also revealed its new race suits for Feeney and Brown on Tuesday night via its social channels.

Queensland teams will test at Queensland Raceway on Monday February 5 before southern teams test at Winton Motor Raceway on Wednesday February 7.

The new season will commence at the Thrifty Bathurst 500 on February 23-25. Tickets are on sale now.
