Supercars return to Surfers Paradise will mark important firsts for two female competitors.

Dunlop Super2 driver Elly Morrow and SuperUtes rookie Ellexandra Best will make their Surfers Paradise street circuit debuts during the undercard line-up at this weekend’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.

Supercars will be on track alongside three premier support categories across October 28-30; Porsche Carrera Cup, V8 SuperUtes and S5000.

Best will make her inaugural appearance on the Surfers streets for the season finale of the SuperUtes series.

'Gonna work as hard as anyone else': Morrow chasing Supercars dream

It comes as Super2 driver Morrow will make a cameo start aboard an S5000.

Morrow, who races in the development series for Brad Jones Racing, will be the first female driver to contest in the open-wheeler series, at a circuit she hasn’t raced at before.

This weekend also marks S5000’s Gold Coast debut, heralding the return of open-wheel racing to Surfers Paradise.

"I'm super grateful for the opportunity Albert and the team at 88 Racing have given me to contest the S5000 Tasman Series this weekend,” Morrow said.

"It will be my first time in the car at the Gold Coast, so I'm keen to learn as much as possible and see what we can achieve together."

Sister to Super2 Series frontrunner Zak Best, Ellexandra is set to join a bumper field of SuperUtes on the Gold Coast this weekend.

Best impressed with a top ten result at the Repco Bathurst 1000 earlier this month, steering her Mitsubishi Triton to finish ninth overall at Mount Panorama.

The Victorian has previously raced Excels, a variety of production cars and Toyota 86s.

Completing her first track walk of the Surfers Paradise circuit on Thursday, Best feels ready to tackle the Gold Coast layout.

“I'm so excited to race here,” she said.

"I've been coming here to spectate since 2017 when Zak raced F4 here. It's such an incredible track with such an incredible atmosphere.

"I've always loved coming to the Gold Coast for that reason.

"The tracks chicanes will definitely be interesting and so much fun but were a bit hard to gauge on the track walk today with constant traffic.

“Keen to get out tomorrow for Practice 1.”

Support categories will hit the track from 10:30am AEST on Friday, kicking off with the Haltech V8 SuperUtes.

S5000 drivers will complete their first 20-minute practice session from 11.00am AEST.

The Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 will be held 28-30 October and broadcast live on Fox Sports and the Seven Network.

Tickets are now available through Supercars.com and Ticketek.
