Will Brown has turned his first laps at the Red Bull Ring in a Gen3 Ford Mustang Supercar.

The 2024 Supercars champion jetted to Europe to partake in demonstration runs at this weekend's Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Brown’s cameo comes amid a string of appearances by the Red Bull Ampol-liveried Ford in Europe, headlined by an appearance at the famed Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The Queenslander quickly departed Darwin for Austria, with Brown also spending time at Red Bull’s global headquarters, Athlete Performance Center and Hangar-7.

After rubbing shoulders with Red Bull F1 driver Isack Hadjar, Brown caught up with Aussie Matt Hall at Hangar-7, which houses the historical Flying Bulls aircraft fleet and a collection of F1 cars.

The Supercar first rolled out at the Mondello Drift Masters, with Briton Matt Nicoll-Jones getting behind the wheel. Jamie Whincup will drive the car at July's Goodwood Festival of Speed, before Scott Pye rolls out at Latvia's Red Bull Showrun.

“Never thought I’d be taking the Supercar to a Formula 1 Grand Prix in Europe – and in Austria, the home of Red Bull, what an unreal opportunity,” Brown said in the lead-up to the trip.

“Probably one of the biggest things I’ve done with the team so far.

“We see so many people commenting on Supercars race highlights, and they’re commenting from overseas. They’re loving what we’re doing here when we race.

"It’s another way to connect with them and get them into the sport – how many people have heard an Aussie V8 screaming around the Red Bull Ring? That is going to sound cool.”

Brown resumes his 2026 Supercars campaign in Townsville on July 10-12. International fans can watch on SuperView.
