Red Bull Ampol Racing will officially launch its new Ford era at a free fan event on the Geelong Foreshore next month.

Confirmed by the team on Friday, the new Red Bull Ampol Mustang livery will be revealed on Saturday 7 February in Ford heartland.

Geelong and the Ford Motor Company have been linked for a century, with the establishment of Ford Australia taking place in the Victorian city in 1925.

Come 2026, and Geelong will play host to the latest chapter of Triple Eight Race Engineering's story, following a decorated 16-year spell with General Motors.

The February 7 event, which will run under the ‘Ignition On’ banner, will feature activations, live demonstrations, appearances by all four Red Bull Ampol Racing drivers, and a public signing session.

The event starts at 9:30am local time, and will also feature players from the Geelong Football Club and a collection of new and classic cars from showrooms and motoring clubs across Victoria.

The cars will be unveiled from 11:00am local time on Hearne Parade, set against a backdrop featuring Geelong’s iconic Cunningham Pier and promenade.

“This is a huge moment for Triple Eight and the Red Bull Ampol Racing team. We’re back with Ford after sixteen years and it’s an exciting time to have the blue oval on the car," Triple Eight boss Jamie Whincup said.

“To be able to take the car to Geelong, Ford heartland, where there’s so much history for that iconic brand and build an event that shows fans who we are, what we do and how we’re racing in 2026 is a great opportunity.

“This is a race car that’s been designed and built by Triple Eight, has a Triple Eight Powertrain under the bonnet and is going to compete with the backing of Ford Racing globally and our valued partners.”

“It’s exciting. It’s the start of the Triple Eight, Red Bull Ampol Racing and Ford Racing story.”
