Live Pit Lane: Team 18, BRT big movers in Melbourne

Tickford Racing and Blanchard Racing Team are the big winners in the live pit lane order following the opening round of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship at the DUNLOP Sydney 500.

After a weekend highlighted by Cam Waters' mighty charge from 20th to third on Sunday, Tickford have jumped up three garages to head the field at the Melbourne SuperSprint.

But the biggest movers are BRT, who having occupied the final two garages at Sydney, have risen all the way up into the middle of pit lane in the sixth allotment of garages.

However, the gains made won't be as evident this weekend, with all four races flag-to-flag sprint races with no pit stops.

Whilst the pit strategy element is nullified, being the first car out of the paddock does have benefits in the preliminary running, namely more opportunity to turn laps in not only practice, but more importantly qualifying.

The lack of strategy impact is good news for Triple Eight, who dropped from first to third in the pit lane order, but even better news for Walkinshaw TWG Racing, who dropped from third to eighth after the debut weekend for the Toyota GR Supra.
