Supercars undertakes parity investigation after Taupō
No change to Toyota following Monday’s analysis and investigation
Investigation continues on the Chevrolet Camaro
Supercars has undertaken a parity investigation following the ITM Taupō Super 440.
The new Toyota Supra, which won Saturday’s Taupō finale, hit the trigger under the new parity review system.
The system is based off a rolling six-race calculation using lap time data from multiple cars of each brand.
The new system formally requires Supercars to undertake an investigation, but doesn’t necessarily mean changes will be made.
Confirmed Tuesday, there will be no change to the Toyota following Monday’s analysis and investigation.
“Please be advised Supercars have concluded the investigation into the Toyota Supra parity trigger and discussed the findings with the Toyota HT,” a note to teams says.
“The determination is no adjustment is required.”
Investigation continues on the Chevrolet Camaro.
Track action will commence in Christchurch on Friday. Tickets are on sale now.
