The scene has now been set for another bumper weekend in the West, with Supercars teams setting up ahead of the Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440.

Penrite Racing
The Penrite Mustangs have received a splash of red paint, courtesy of its tie-up with the incoming Perth Bears NRL franchise. Matt Payne and Kai Allen launched the livery with rugby league Immortal and Bears coach Mal Meninga. The team is winless in Perth, however.
Red Bull Ampol Racing
Managing Director Jamie Whincup returns trackside in Perth, following his UK trip headlined by a cameo at Goodwood. Whincup arrives on Friday. The team has kept a relatively low profile, but a strong debrief could lay the framework for a breakout weekend.
Tickford Racing
The resurgent Cam Waters hits 150 rounds, and is looking to move back into the top three at the expense of local boy Brodie Kostecki. Thomas Randle is the one looking for a big weekend, having closed the gap to the Finals cut-line in Townsville. The team is also on double duty, running its four Tickford Autosport Fords in Super2.
Walkinshaw TWG Racing
At a special media call on Thursday morning, Chaz Mostert and his Toyota featured on the grounds near Optus Stadium, where a planned street circuit is set to host Supercars from 2028. Teammate Ryan Wood won his first race in Perth last year, and has been tipped to do it again this weekend.
Shell V-Power Racing Team
Hometown hero Brodie Kostecki is flavour of the month, and was also with Mostert and Andre Heimgartner at Thursday’s Victoria Park media call. Kostecki is hunting his maiden Perth victory, having gone winless in 11 attempts.
Team 18
There’s trepidation for many teams, and Team 18 is one of them. Plenty of work has gone into fuel economy for the Camaro, with a test held at Queensland Raceway after Townsville. Anton De Pasquale feels comfortable, but wants more GM drivers to to get into Finals — and that includes his teammate David Reynolds, who is a long shot.
Matt Stone Racing
Jack Le Brocq starts a weekend in the top 10 for the first time since Christchurch in April. Qualifying has been MSR’s Achilles heel this season, and if that continues in Perth, he’ll more than likely drop out.
Brad Jones Racing
Team owner Brad Jones was at Thursday’s press conference, and despite saying little about his team’s performance, was in fine form. Jones admitted his team has been “hit and miss” this season, but remained coy on his unannounced enduro line-up, the fuel saving debate, and potential calendar changes for 2027.
Blanchard Racing Team
BRT is also on double duty, racing in Super2. James Golding was bumped out of the top 10 in Townsville, and a strong run at BRT’s happy hunting ground will do him plenty of good. Aaron Cameron simply needs a strong run, after a last start DNF.
PremiAir Racing
Jayden Ojeda is feeling good, and believes he is closing the gap to the best drivers in the championship. Ojeda also suggested PremiAir Racing uncovered some things at Declan Fraser’s rookie test at Queensland Raceway. Both drivers need it — Ojeda is hanging onto the Finals fight, while Fraser is looking to race his way to an extension.
Erebus Motorsport
Erebus CEO Barry Ryan was also at the press conference, and exuded confidence following a solid Townsville for his team. Ryan admitted his drivers need to “up their game” and revealed Brad Tremain will return to the team as Team Principal in coming weeks.
Objective Racing
Jackson Walls showed solid race pace in Townsville, particularly in the finale, even if the results didn’t show for it. The rookie could make a splash this weekend should he get into Q2 or better.
