Supercars pit reporter Molly Taylor announces "exciting" family news
Rally champion turned Supercars broadcaster announces pregnancy
Taylor's first child due in August
Motorsport champion and broadcaster Molly Taylor has announced she is expecting her first child.
Taylor, who stepped into an expanded Supercars broadcast role this year, revealed her first child with partner Daniel Gardner is due in August.
She is the 2016 Australian Rally Champion, a two-time Extreme E world champion with Swedes Johan Kristoffersson and Kevin Hansen, and also won the inaugural FIA Extreme H World Cup with Hansen.
After giving birth, Taylor plans to return to the FIA Extreme H World Cup later this year.
First, Taylor returns to the Supercars broadcast team for the upcoming Taupō and Christchurch rounds.
"Dan and I are really excited to announce that we’re expecting our first child in August this year and looking forward to this new adventure ahead of us," said Taylor.
"I’m also looking forward to continuing my work with the Supercars broadcast team during my pregnancy and plan to be back in the race car to defend my Extreme H title later in the year.
"We are very grateful to work with such supportive teams and partners to help us embrace this special time and the new chapter ahead of us!"
Track action in Taupō commences on Friday.
