Kai Allen steals lead of Darwin Triple Crown entering finale
Allen just five points clear of resurgent Cam Waters

Kai Allen's crushing victory on Saturday has seen him pull ahead of Friday winner Cam Waters in the battle for the betr Darwin Triple Crown.
The duo have been the top two in both races held to date this weekend, though swapping the order on both days, however it's 20-year-old Allen who emerged victorious in the first of the big 120-point paydays.
The #26 Ford holds just a five point lead over the #6 Mustang entering the final race of the weekend, which could become a case of first to the flag wins the Darwin Triple Crown.
Brodie Kostecki and Matt Payne are the nearest challengers 26 and 31 points back respectively, Kostecki putting in a Herculean effort to finish third on Saturday despite needing medical treatment post-race.
Will Brown is leading the charge for the historic dominators of Darwin in Triple Eight, but at 46 points back needs a lot to go his way to wrangle an unlikely Triple Crown win.
Chaz Mostert and Anton De Pasquale lead the Toyota and Chevrolet contingents in seventh and eighth, 55 and 68 points back respectively.
The final day of the 2026 betr Darwin Triple Crown begins with Boost Mobile Qualifying at 10:45am local time/11:15am AEST.
