2026 betr Darwin Triple Crown to break new ground with Friday race
Supercars races to be held on all three days of 2026 Hidden Valley round
Friday races joined 2025 Sydney, Melbourne, Townsville, Adelaide schedules
For the first time ever, fans in 2026 will experience a Friday Repco Supercars Championship race at the betr Darwin Triple Crown, delivering more racing action and introducing a new way to win the elusive Triple Crown title.
The event will take place from June 19–21 2026 at the iconic Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin.
A bold new format will see racing on all three days: a 100km sprint race on Friday, followed by a 200km race on Saturday and a 200km race on Sunday.
In 2026, the Triple Crown is set to be awarded again with the round champion crowned based on the most points accumulated across the weekend.
"Introducing a Friday race means fans can enjoy three straight days of Supercars racing, while the challenge to win the Triple Crown remains as tough as ever," Supercars Chief Executive James Warburton said.
"It’s also an historic moment — fans will witness the Toyota Supra, Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro go head-to-head for the first time in the Top End, a blockbuster showdown set against Darwin’s warm winter backdrop."
Suzana Bishop, Tourism and Events NT CEO said: "With an exciting, packed betr Darwin Triple Crown program and plenty of off-track experiences, Darwin is the place to be next June for any motorsport fan.
"The 2026 event will now bring three days of racing action, providing the perfect excuse to book that longer trip and experience all the best the Territory has to offer.
"Visitors can catch some great racing and go on their own adrenaline-packed adventure from fishing, jet skiing and off-roading to exploring the Territory’s stunning landscapes and waterfalls.
"Fans can also make the most of our glorious weather by visiting our world-famous markets and vibrant bars and restaurants."
In 2025, the Darwin event featured the Super 440 format with two sprint races on Saturday and a 200km finale on Sunday.
Broc Feeney dominated, winning all three races and becoming only the third driver to achieve the coveted Darwin Triple Crown, the first since Jamie Whincup in 2020.
On top of Supercars racing on all three days of next year’s event in the Top End, the Dunlop Super2 Series, featuring the best up and coming drivers from Australia and New Zealand, will join the support card in the Northern Territory.
It is the first time the category will race in Darwin since the series debuted in 2000, and will see Hidden Valley join as the 17th venue to host a Super2 Series round, and the first new location on the Super2 calendar since 2017.
A highlight of the Repco Supercars Championship calendar, the betr Darwin Triple Crown, which is also the official Indigenous Round, continues to deliver for the Territory. The 2025 event attracted nearly 37,000 attendees and injected $27.6 million into the NT economy.
Tickets — including General Admission, Grandstand and Corporate Hospitality — for the 2026 betr Darwin Triple Crown will be available through Supercars.com and the event’s website. Travel packages will be available through Supercars Travel.
All formats for the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship will be confirmed in due course.
