Fresh off Bathurst victory, Brodie Kostecki has been projected by fans to win the 2026 championship.
In a Supercars.com poll, fans tipped Kostecki as the 2026 Repco Supercars Champion, ahead of Repco Sprint Cup winner Broc Feeney, points leader Matt Payne, and 2024 champion Will Brown.
Kostecki has more wins than any other driver in 2026, and is also equal top of the Boost Pole Award standings with Penrite Racing driver Payne.
Kostecki (2023), Brown (2024) and Chaz Mostert (2025) are the only former champions in the top 10.
Here’s how the voting broke down amongst the top 10:
Brodie Kostecki, 40%
Broc Feeney, 21%
Matt Payne, 16%
Will Brown, 9%
Anton De Pasquale, 4%
Chaz Mostert, 4%
Cam Waters, 3%
Kai Allen, 1%
Ryan Wood, 1%
Jack Le Brocq, 1%
Payne leads Feeney, Brown and Kostecki heading to this weekend's Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, with Kai Allen, Cam Waters, Anton De Pasquale, Mostert, Ryan Wood and Jack Le Brocq rounding out the top 10.
Of the top 10 drivers, five have previous top two championship finishes: Feeney (2024), Brown (2024, 2025), Kostecki (2023), Waters (2020, 2022) and Mostert (2025).
Waters topped a pre-season Supercars.poll — and by some margin — regarding a first-time champion, his 50% topping Feeney (24%) and Payne (10%).
Track action at Surfers Paradise commences on Friday.
