BJR unveil new-look Cameron Hill Toyota
#14 Supra to be backed by Statewide Bearings in Perth
BJR raising funds for two charities assisting children with cancer and their families
Cameron Hill will be racing for an important cause at this weekend's Bosch Power Tools Perth Super 440.
Through new naming rights partner Statewide Bearings, Brad Jones Racing will be raising funds for the Child Cancer Research Foundation and the Back on Track Foundation.
The new-look white, green, and yellow #14 Supra features also features branding from both charities, with the livery revealed to Statewide Bearings staff and customers at their Perth headquarters on Wednesday morning.
Fundraising efforts began at the launch event, with signed merchandise to be auctioned off post-event. All proceeds will go to the two charities.
Hill is hoping for a turnaround in form after a torrid Townsville, as he enters the weekend 16th in points.
"I'm excited to show off the Statewide Bearings Supra this weekend," said Hill.
"It's a completely different look to what we're used to, but the colours really pop and I think it's going to stand out on track. A big thanks to the Statewide Bearings team for coming on board for their home event.
"It's amazing that they're using this opportunity to highlight some really great causes.
"Hopefully Perth can be a bit of a reset for us. We came away from Townsville with plenty to look at, and the team has put in a huge amount of work between rounds to understand where we can improve.
"I'm looking forward to getting back on track, building some momentum over these final Sprint rounds and heading into the Endurance season on a positive note."
Statewide Bearings Director and CFO, Justin Bruce, also serves as the Treasurer for both the Child Cancer Research Foundation and the Back on Track Foundation.
Bruce added: “The partnership is deeply personal. As someone who survived childhood leukemia, I know first-hand that the effects of childhood cancer do not simply end when treatment finishes.
"My family has been involved with the Child Cancer Research Foundation for over 40 years, and I have seen the difference that research, survivorship support and long-term advocacy can make for children and families.
“The Child Cancer Research Foundation and Back on Track support different but closely connected parts of the childhood cancer experience. CCRF helps fund research and survivorship programs, while Back on Track helps children and their siblings rebuild their education, confidence and connection after cancer has disrupted their lives.
“Bringing these organisations together with Statewide Bearings and Brad Jones Racing gives us an opportunity to raise awareness of the full impact of childhood cancer."
The new-look BJR Supra will hit the track for the first time for Practice 1 at 3:00pm AWST/5:00pm AEST on Friday.
