Triple Eight Race Engineering has clinched a record-extending 13th Supercars teams' championship.
On a day where WAU's Chaz Mostert clinched his berth at the bp Adelaide Grand Final, Will Brown put in what was arguably his best drive of the season with a stunning charge from 15th on the grid to second behind Mostert.
With Broc Feeney having a quiet run to fourth, it proved more than enough for the team to go back-to-back following their dominant run to the 2024 crown, which they wrapped up two rounds early at Bathurst.
The Red Bull Ampol Racing squad is now 948 points clear at the top, with 864 remaining across the final four races of the year at Sandown and Adelaide.
Penrite Racing was the Chevrolet squad's closest competition, and needed to outscore Triple Eight by 20 or more points to take the fight into Sunday at the very least.
However, with Matt Payne sixth and Kai Allen seventh, Triple Eight put 84 points on Penrite Racing, and were only outscored by WAU, who claimed a double podium with Mostert and Ryan Wood.
WAU have now closed to within 151 points of Tickford Racing in the battle third, with the former Ford factory squad enduring a tough day with Cam Waters and Thomas Randle
The latest success comes in Triple Eight's final year with General Motors, with the team set to switch to Ford Mustangs as the brand's homologation team in 2026.
