PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge finals spots on the line in Ipswich

The battle to reach the Live Finals for the 2025 PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge is set to boil down into a six-team fight at the upcoming Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440.

There are seven crews in mathematical contention to reach the Live Finals, with Matt Stone Racing, Blanchard Racing Team, Triple Eight Race Engineering and Brad Jones Racing in the box seat.

Walkinshaw Andretti United and Erebus Motorsport are clinging on by their fingernails, and need a miracle in Ipswich to burst into the Live Finals.

MSR took the lead at the NTI Townsville 500, with only the opening sprint offering points to the challenge. The 2024 finalists paced the Friday stops with a fast service for Nick Percat, followed by BJR (Jaxon Evans) and WAU (Ryan Wood).

BJR's crew on the Evans and Macauley Jones cars is just six points behind the sister crew. Triple Eight's best stop in the Friday race was ranked seventh, dropping the reigning champs behind MSR and BRT.

The top five crews are covered by just 11 points, with a maximum of 26 points up for grabs across the two sprints at Queensland Raceway. WAU and Erebus are 22 and 25 points from the lead, and 17 and 20 from the top four.

Down the order, there's pride on the line, with the Shell V-Power Racing Team 12th and last of the full-time crews.

Team 18 and Tickford Racing are 17 and 12 points respectively ahead of Dick Johnson Racing, with Penrite Racing and PremiAir Racing missing out on a crack at the Live Finals in Townsville.

The 2025 Supercars season resumes at the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440. Supercars drivers will contest three races at the August 8-10 event. Tickets are on sale now. International viewers can watch the action on SuperView.
