Supercars and OMF have joined forces to champion the Sleep Fast, Not Furious campaign — a national initiative aimed at tackling driver fatigue and saving lives.
Backed by OMF’s commitment to quality sleep and road safety, the campaign highlights a critical but often overlooked truth: tiredness is a major contributor to road accidents, accounting for up to 30% of crashes in Australia. Unlike alcohol or drugs, fatigue is a silent impairment, and one that’s entirely preventable.

Through iconic activations at Supercars rounds such as Repco Bathurst 1000 and Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, OMF are spreading awareness across the country directly to our fans. The message is simple but urgent: mates don’t let mates drive tired.
Whether you're behind the wheel of a race car or a family sedan, the responsibility to protect passengers and fellow road users starts before you even turn the key. Adequate sleep isn’t just about feeling rested, it’s about being alert, responsive, and safe.
Craig Dontas, Supercars Head of Commercial, said: “Partnering with OMF on the Sleep Fast, Not Furious campaign allows us to make a real difference. Raising awareness about driver fatigue is crucial, and together we’re encouraging everyone in our community to put safety and sleep first.”
Ian Vann, CEO & Executive Director of OMF, added: “At OMF, we believe quality sleep is fundamental to keeping our roads safe. We’re proud to work alongside Supercars to spread this important message and help save lives. If we can prevent even one accident by encouraging drivers to rest, it’s all worth it.”
So next time you hit the road, ask yourself: are you truly ready to drive? Because when it comes to safety, sleep isn’t optional - it’s essential.
