All 24 Supercars set to take to the streets of Townsville on Thursday July 10
Full-field signing session at inaugural Palmer Street Party from 4:30pm to 5:30pm
Cars to travel into the heart of Townsville along Flinders Street
Supercars fans are set to witness a spectacle through the heart of Townsville, as the 2025 NTI Townsville 500 brings a refreshed and supercharged Track to Town event on Thursday 10 July.
In an all-new route for 2025, all 24 Repco Supercars Championship vehicles will roll out of the Reid Park Street Circuit and cruise under police escort to Palmer Street, where fans will enjoy the first ever Supercars Palmer Street Party – featuring live entertainment, giveaways, and an autograph session with the full Supercars grid.
This year’s route will see the convoy of Supercars leave the circuit near the famous Turn near Officeworks and head onto Charters Towers Road, turning onto Somer Street, Woolcock Street, and then onto Sturt Street.
From there, the field will travel along a long stretch of Flinders Street, giving fans plenty of opportunities to view the cars up close.
The parade will then cross the bridge into Palmer Street, where thousands are expected to greet the drivers for a night of celebration.

The Track to Town Parade is expected to draw thousands of passionate motorsport fans lining the route, waving flags, holding signs, and showing support for their favourite drivers.
The new route will see drivers exit pit lane at 4:20pm, cruise through key Townsville streets, and arrive at the activation zone on Palmer Street by 4:30pm, where the party begins.
A free autograph session will run from 4:30pm to 5:30pm, with activations surrounding the cars along Palmer Street near the Tiny Mountain Brewery, the Australian Hotel and Rydges.
Supercars CEO Shane Howard said the 2025 event marks a bold new chapter in Townsville’s Supercars story.
“We’re bringing the Supercars closer to the community than ever before with this year’s Track to Town,” Howard said.
“Thanks to the incredible support of Townsville City Council, Tourism and Events Queensland, and the Queensland Police, we’ve created a new fan-focused event that brings the spectacle of Supercars into the heart of the city.
“Palmer Street will come alive with colour, sound and energy on Thursday evening – and we encourage everyone to come out, cheer on the field and enjoy what will be a truly special night in Townsville.”

Townsville Acting Mayor Ann-Maree Greaney said she couldn’t wait to see Palmer Street revved up to kick off an action-packed weekend.
“This year’s Track to Town parade will not only shift Townsville into gear ahead of arguably one of the biggest weekends of the year, but it’s set to activate Palmer Street and inject money into our local hospitality businesses too,” Cr Greaney said.
“I know our community is champing at the bit to get around Supercars as it returns to Townsville bigger and better in 2025, on and off the track, so as Townsville eases into the best months of the year, I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the three-day festivities than a Street Party on Palmer Street.
Townsville Enterprise Major Event Acquisitions Director Chelsea Cavanah said:
“The NTI Townsville 500 has been a cornerstone of our events calendar for 17 years, and it’s fantastic to see the event continue to grow and evolve. The first-ever Supercars Palmer Street Party adds a whole new dimension, creating an electric atmosphere to launch what’s set to be another high-octane weekend.”
“The Supercars inject more than $52.5 million into our local economy each year, and initiatives like the Palmer Street Party only add to that momentum. By enhancing the visitor experience and encouraging longer stays, we’re not just celebrating motorsport — we’re driving real economic impact for Townsville.”

Following the autograph session, drivers and their cars will return under escort back to the circuit, arriving by 6:00pm.
This year’s NTI Townsville 500 is shaping up to be the most action-packed yet, with three days of non-stop motorsport and entertainment.
For the first time ever, Supercars will race on all three days, with Friday’s 100km sprint race kicking off a weekend of world-class racing, extreme sports, live music, bull riding, burnouts, car culture expos, and more.
From Summernats Goes Troppo and MotorEx Alley to the first Australia vs New Zealand PBR bull riding showdown, fans of all ages will experience an unmatched celebration of speed and spectacle.
Fans can still secure their tickets at Supercars.com with General Admission, Grandstand, and Corporate Hospitality options available.
The NTI Townsville 500 runs 5–7 July 2025, proudly supported by Townsville City Council and the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland.
