Ford chasing first Champion Manufacturer of the Year win since 2020
General Motors undefeated since 2021, Chevrolet unbeaten in Gen3 era
Chevrolet has 15 wins to Ford's 11 with seven races remaining
A 2025 Ryco Enduro Cup sweep has kept Ford's hopes alive of a first Supercars Champion Manufacturer win in five years.
Inaugurated in 1999, the Supercars Champion Manufacturer of the Year is awarded to the manufacturer which has the most race wins in the season. Between 1999 and 2008, it was presented to the manufacturer with the most round wins.
Holden dominated at the turn of the century, taking Supercars Champion Manufacturer of the Year honours in 16 of 24 seasons before Chevrolet came in in 2023.
Chevrolet is undefeated in the Gen3 era, but its streak is now under threat as the 2025 season shifts into the Repco Supercars Finals Series.
Ford swept the year's longest races at The Bend and Bathurst, but both brands have competitive records at remaining tracks in 2025.
Ford won three of four races on the Gold Coast across 2023 and 2024, and swept Adelaide in 2023. Chevrolet is undefeated at Sandown, and won both Adelaide races last year.
General Motors has had a stranglehold on the Supercars Champion Manufacturer of the Year title, winning since 2021. Ford won two straight with the new Gen3 Mustang in 2019 and 2020, but it has been GM ever since, much like it was at Bathurst — until last week.
There are seven races remaining in 2025: two in Surfers Paradise, two at Sandown, and three in Adelaide. Chevrolet can clinch the 2025 award on the Gold Coast.
