Walkinshaw Andretti United announces 2025 Enduro Cup pairings
Coulthard returns alongside Mostert, after finishing second in 2022 Great Race
Rising star Ojeda partners fellow young gun Wood for enduros
The 2025 Enduro Cup grid is nearly set, with Walkinshaw Andretti United locking in its pairings for the year's longest Supercars races.
Fabian Coulthard will partner Chaz Mostert in the team's #25 Mobil 1 Optus Ford, while recruit Jayden Ojeda slots in alongside Ryan Wood in the #2 Mobil 1 Truck Assist Ford.
Mostert and Coulthard combined in 2022, and raced to second at the Repco Bathurst 1000. Mostert previously raced with Lee Holdsworth (2021, 2023-24), while Coulthard raced with Wood last year.
Ojeda returns to WAU, having contested two solo rounds as a wildcard with the team in 2022. The Sydneysider has impressed in recent years, claiming Bathurst 6 Hour wins and scoring a factory GT3 contract with Mercedes-AMG.
Veteran Coulthard and rising star Ojeda will have crucial roles to play, with Mostert and Wood both fighting for places in the Finals Series. Mostert is currently fifth heading to Townsville, while Wood is 11th.
The Mostert/Coulthard and Wood/Ojeda pairings will hit the track at the all-in pre-enduro test at Queensland Raceway on August 12.
“We are thrilled to announce our strong co-driver line up this season, welcoming back Jayden to the team and the return of Fabian for the fourth year consecutively, the calibre of both drivers puts us in a strong position for endurance season," WAU Team Principal Carl Faux said.
“Jayden and Fabian gel very well with the team. They have spent a considerable amount of time with the crew this year, ensuring they are fully prepared to put their best foot forward when we get to The Bend and Bathurst.
“With the revised format this year, having top-tier co-drivers is vital in helping Chaz and Ryan secure their positions in the top 10 for the finals series. We are confident that Jayden and Fabian are more than capable of rising to the challenge.”
Ojeda said: “It’s great to be back with the Walkinshaw Andretti United family, it’s been a couple years since I’ve been with the team, although they have made me feel like I am at home, it doesn’t feel like I ever left.
“Ryan has shown he isn’t here to play around this year, the momentum he and the team are building is really exciting, I’m looking forward to pairing up with him this season.
“With the new format, the pressure is on us co-drivers to help the main-drivers stay or get into the top 10 for the finals, it’s more important than ever that we get up to speed quickly and keep it clean out on the track.”
Coulthard added: “It’s a bit of a reunion being paired up with Chaz again this endurance season, the last time we were paired together we placed 2nd at the Bathurst 1000, although the goal will be one step higher this year.
“When you get to go racing with your mates it doesn’t feel like work, race weekends with the WAU crew are always fun, but when the visor goes down it’s full focus to get the job done.
“I’ve spent a bit of time in the car this year for ride days with the crew, the team have done a great job building on last year’s car, I’m looking forward to getting a couple more laps in before the Bend and Bathurst.”
