Leading figures of the Supercars fraternity have raised nearly $60,000 for the fight against cancer.
Supercars Head of Motorsport Adrian Burgess will take part in next month's Tour de Cure.
Burgess will be joined by Supercars Engine Projects Manager Craig Hasted.
Karting Australia Chief Operating Officer Lee Hanatschek and long-time Motorsport Personal Trainer Phil Young will also join the Signature Tour.
Porsche Carrera Cup driver Bayley Hall will also take part.
The Signature Tour will see riders cover 1400km across nine days from Geelong to Canberra, all while raising awareness and funds for cancer research and prevention.
To date, the motorsport quintet has raised over $95,000.
"Cancer is something that affects far too many people in the community," Burgess said.
"Through the Tour de Cure, we’re all working together to raise funds for cancer research and prevention.
"The last few months I’ve been out at 5am on the bike most mornings, getting ready for the nine-day, 1400km tour, all with the objective of raising funds and awareness for the TDC.
"My pain will be short-lived, and I’ll quickly get over it. That’s not the same for people fighting cancer.
"Last year I rode in the tour and raised $27,396. This year I told myself that I needed to smash that number.
"So far, this year, I’ve raised over $44,000 and still pushing hard. Every bit counts, and every bit could save a life.
Burgess (R) will tackle his second Tour De Cure event
"We’re not professional athletes, just a bunch of guys who know each other through motorsport who want to make a difference for cancer research."
Since 2007, the charity has raised over $75 million, funded 563 cancer research projects and achieved over 50 significant breakthroughs.
Last month’s inaugural Tour de Cure Summer Sports Lunch kicked off the fundraising, with two-time Bathurst winner Chaz Mostert headlining the event.
The 2022 Signature Tour will commence in Geelong on March 10.
