Triple Eight Race Engineering's two Red Bull Ampol Chevrolet Camaros will head the field out of pit lane at the Sydney 500 between February 21-23 as part of a new-look pit lane order.

A dramatic end to the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship in Adelaide last November changed the make-up of the teams' championship, with the order setting the garage allocation for Sydney.

Triple Eight will occupy the first two garages in Sydney, but the next eight will be taken up by Ford Mustangs from Tickford Racing, Walkinshaw Andretti United, Grove Racing and Dick Johnson Racing.

2023 champions Erebus Motorsport lead a string of 12 Chevrolet Camaros, followed by Matt Stone Racing, PremiAir Racing, Brad Jones Racing and Team 18.

The pit lane will be rounded out by the Blanchard Racing Team, which is preparing for its second season as a two-car operation, and MSR's wildcard garage for Cameron Crick.

Sitting at the top end of pit lane is set to be a significant strategy advantage in Sydney, with the 200km Saturday and Sunday races to feature two compulsory refuelling pit stops. Click here to see 2025 race weekend formats.

The standings from the Sydney season opener won't have an impact on the following round, with Supercars again using an infield paddock at the Grand Prix in Melbourne.

However, and it goes without saying, teams will be determined to score as many points as possible across the first two rounds before the Live Pit Lane truly comes into effect at Round 3 in New Zealand.

After New Zealand comes Tasmania, which shifts from August to May, before trips to Perth, Darwin, Townsville and Ipswich before the 2025 season shifts to enduro mode.

Tickets for the season-opening round in Sydney, on February 21-23, are on sale now.
