Sengled and Nissan light up for 2016

Two global innovators, Nissan Motorsport and SENGLED AUSTRALIA, have teamed up for the 2016 V8 Supercars season.

SENGLED AUSTRALIA has partnered with Nissan Motorsport as the naming rights partner of the #15 Sengled Nissan Altima V8 Supercar driven by Rick Kelly.

Rick Kelly is buoyed by this new deal, which will see him as the key ambassador for the brand in this market.

“Innovation and technical development are the backbone of our business and sport so we are very excited to join forces with SENGLED AUSTRALIA,” Kelly said.

“SENGLED is a business that is passionate about innovation and is pushing the boundaries on research and development to drive success in its field. But when it comes down to it, I just love gadgets and these are some of the coolest gadgets around.

“This year establishes a new partnership for me and one that I am very excited about to support SENGLED’s growth in Australia. It’s always terrific to help introduce a new brand to the sport and I feel really fortunate to be involved with SENGLED.

“The car livery is a huge change from what I have been used to since starting our own team and what we’ve managed to achieve is something really unique.”

Innovation is key to the success of young Australian entrepreneur David Clerk, who has revolutionised light bulb technology by packing the humble bulb with a range of app-controlled, intuitive, eco-friendly products that reduce clutter and expand smart home capabilities.

“We are very excited to confirm the partnership with Nissan Motorsport and we look forward to watching Rick race in the #15 SENGLED Nissan Altima livery,” David Clerk said.

“We look forward to bringing the innovative range of products to V8 Supercar fans and see this sport as a perfect platform to promote our range of technology lead products.

“It is particularly exciting to know we can support another great Australian innovator as he races towards further success.”

The announcement is great news for Rick Kelly and Nissan Motorsport, after enjoying a busy off-season.

After securing second place at the Bathurst 12 Hour, Kelly has gone on to complete a trouble-free test of his brand new chassis, ahead of the start of the 2016 V8 Supercars season.

“So with a new car and new livery, I am really excited to tackle the challenging Adelaide street circuit," Kelly said. 

"We’ve had great preparation coming into the season – something we haven’t always achieved – so I am really excited for the year ahead."

The season commences at the Clipsal 500, Adelaide, March 3-6.
