David Reynolds’ run to the next round in Perth has been boosted by the arrival of his second child with partner Tahan Lee Fatt.
Lew Fatt gave birth to the couple’s second child, Ravayah Rae, on Wednesday.
Penrite Racing driver Reynolds and Lew Fatt first became parents in January 2021 with son Ryu.
Lew Fatt revealed the news via her social media accounts on Thursday.
“It’s a girl… we are all in love,” Lew Fatt wrote.
The couple’s exciting news comes just weeks after Brad Jones Racing driver Andre Heimgartner celebrated the birth of his first child.
Heimgartner’s fiancé Jemma Boskovich gave birth to the couple’s first child ahead of the Beaurepaires Melbourne SuperSprint.
Reynolds has had a solid start to 2023
The Kiwi joined Reynolds as the latest father on the Supercars grid.
Mark Winterbottom, Tim Slade and James Courtney are all fathers.
Shell V-Power Racing Team veteran Will Davison and wife Riana are also expecting their first child.
Reynolds and Heimgartner have already reached the podium in 2023, with Reynolds also scoring a pole position.
The Penrite Racing driver scored pole for Race 2 in Newcastle, before racing to third.
Heimgartner then raced to second in the Albert Park finale, marking Brad Jones Racing’s first podium as a Chevrolet team.
Reynolds endured a “tortured” on-track weekend at Albert Park, but raced from 24th to eighth in the finale.
Heimgartner and Reynolds are fourth and eighth in the points heading to the next round in Perth.
