Fans have just over 24 hours to bid for the opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind Red Bull Ampol Racing race suit, as worn by Broc Feeney and Shane van Gisbergen at this past weekend’s betr Darwin Triple Crown.
In support of Supercars’ annual Indigenous Round and co-naming rights partner Ampol's partnership with the Clontarf Foundation, Red Bull Ampol Racing is auctioning off each driver’s race-worn suit, with all proceeds going to the Clontarf Foundation.
The unique race suits feature design elements from the artwork named 'The Spirit of the Driver' created by Brock Compton, a student from Brisbane's Ambrose Treacy College and a member of the school's Clontarf Academy.
The artwork, which symbolises unity and respect, also featured on the #88 and #97 Chevrolet Camaros in Darwin, where Feeney led home a 1-2 for the team in Race 14 on Sunday.
The Clontarf Foundation strives to enhance the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem, and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, empowering them to become active participants in society and lead meaningful lives.
Fans and collectors alike are in for a treat with the opportunity to own a piece of Supercars history.
Other features of the artwork include kangaroo tracks representing the different paths and tracks each driver has taken en route to the pinnacle of Australian motorsport.
Different circles symbolise the challenges each has overcome, the achievements they have realized in their careers, surrounded by the meeting circles around the design representing each driver’s families.
Fans and supporters of the Chevrolet homologation team are also symbolised in the men and women depicted in the artwork.
The auction, which ends at 7:30 p.m. AEST on Wednesday, 21 June, offers an authentic race-worn suit, personally signed by the driver who wore it.
Each suit is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and a tamper-resistant hologram, ensuring its legitimacy and value as a collectible item. Click here to enter your bid.
