PremiAir Racing has announced a tweak to its team name for the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship.

In 2024, the Peter Xiberras-owned squad will operate under the PremiAir Nulon Racing banner.

The team debuted in 2022 after taking over Team Sydney, and ran two Commodores backed by Coca-Cola and Subway. In 2023, oil company Nulon stepped up to take naming rights of the team in its first season in the Gen3 era, with the team running as Nulon Racing.

Nulon returns in 2024 to back the team's Supercars arm and its National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) squad.

PremiAir Nulon Racing will run two Chevrolet Camaros for Tim Slade and James Golding, while Xiberras will steer the PremiAir Nulon Racing Top Fuel Dragster in the NDRC.

"As we get ready to head into our third Supercars Championship season, we are very pleased to be able to announce we once again have such a leading company as Nulon backing our team,” Xiberras said.

“For this highly respected company to be throwing their support behind both our Supercars and Drag Racing campaigns really shows the enthusiasm they have for what we are doing, and we are greatly looking forward to repaying that faith across 2024.

“In Supercars, we have made a lot of strides forward over the last two seasons, and with some key hires and a lot of work over the off-season, we are feeling ready and rearing to get into the 2024 championship chase.

“At the same time, our pursuit of a third national Top Fuel title continues. We are halfway through the 2023/2024 NDRC season now following the Australia Day Nationals at the weekend in Sydney, and we are still well in the hunt."

Tom Murray, Nulon Products Australia Channel Marketing Manager, added: "We are thrilled to renew our partnership with PremiAir Nulon Racing, a championship-winning force in the Australian drag racing scene and Supercar team on an upward trajectory."

PremiAir Nulon Racing will reveal its new-look Camaros on February 14.

Slade and Golding will test at Queensland Raceway next week ahead of the Thrifty Bathurst 500 on February 23-25. Tickets are on sale now.
