As the neurones die, the messages sent from the brain to muscles aren't being received, impacting on ability to move, eat, speak, swallow and eventually breathe. In some countries, MND is known as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and in the US, it is also called Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Supercars is proud to support the MND and Me Foundation.
The MND and Me Foundation's mission is to care and to cure. They fund research into an effective treatment or cure but until that day arrives, they fund care services for people living with MND as well as their family and care support network.
