Erebus Motorsport has today unveiled an aggressive new Nascar-style livery for Lee Holdsworth and Craig Baird's #4 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG ahead of the opening event of the Pirtek Enduro Cup at this weekend's Wilson Security Sandown 500.
Complementing the recently revealed Erebus Team Beko livery for Will and Alex Davison's #9 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, the #4 livery was designed in celebration of Holdsworth's recent contract extension with the team on a multi-year agreement.
The new livery features highlighted No.4s on the doors and roof, along with Nascar-style sponsor branding patches on the front quarter panel - which will provide extra branding for all of the team's existing sponsors - and a prominent blue swirl along the driver and passenger side doors.
As part of the updated livery, the team also welcomes new partners Kalus Kenny Intelex Lawyers and Advisors on the rear quarter and Sportsyear on the sill. Existing commercial partner Fuchs will feature on the bonnet as part of the existing agreement that saw their branding on the bonnet for the opening two meetings of the year at the Clipsal 500 and Australian Grand Prix.
Having proudly displayed AMG Customer Sports branding on the doors of both cars since the Darwin round of the Championship, the AMG logo will still remain proudly displayed on the rear wing.
"It's great the team has come up with a different livery concept for the enduros as it is the start of a Championship within a Championship this weekend,'' said Holdsworth.
"I really love the new design - I'm sure the three large No.4s will really stand-out on track and catch the eyes of the fans. It's great that we can also provide our commercial partners with another piece of inventory with the Nascar-style logo area on the front door.
"Last year 'Bairdo' and I had a lot of fun during the enduros where we recorded some of our best results for the year as a team so we're really looking forward to Sandown, Bathurst and the Gold Coast 600.''
Erebus Motorsport CEO Ryan Maddison said the team was excited to have two updated liveries on both entries for the Sandown 500 as well as paying tribute to Holdsworth's recent contract extension.
"We are heading into a really exciting phase of our year so we wanted to match that excitement with updated liveries for our cars as well as celebrate Lee's recent re-signing,'' said Maddison.
"The response to our Erebus Team Beko livery for the #9 car has been really positive since that was unveiled and I'm sure people are going to enjoy watching the #4 car fly around the track at Sandown as well.
"We have borrowed the traditional Nascar style design whilst putting our own Erebus slant on it. I know Lee can't wait to show it off.''
