One year on from his elevation to main game V8 Supercars, Chaz Mostert has nabbed his second race win in V8 Supercars, and first as a factory team driver with Pepsi Max Crew FPR.
He became the 10th different winner so far this season, crossing the line first in the 200km dash at the Perth 400.
Mostert was on the podium at last event in New Zealand, while teammate Mark Winterbottom stood on the top step - but this time it was the young gun leading home the Championship leaders, with Craig Lowndes and Winterbottom safely behind at Barbagallo Raceway.
"It's good to get another win... it's a dream come true!" Mostert said.
"I thought Frosty was going to be the man to beat with his tyre life and strategy, but we've hung on for the win and it's fantastic."
Mostert is up to eighth in the Championship after the victory and is looking to crack the top five after a few more positive weekends.
Meanwhile Winterbottom now holds a 101-point gap over Craig Lowndes in the points and couldn't be happier for his young teammate.
"That was a really cool race, two very competitive cars in our team," 'Frosty' said.
"Awesome for Chaz, awesome to see him win - he's a ripper young guy ... Pretty scary to see what he'll do in the future!"
Jamie Whincup came home fourth and has moved to fourth in the points, locking that Red Bull versus FPR contest at the top.
Two Brad Jones Racing Commodores followed, with Fabian Coulthard and Jason Bright - who took a three stop strategy - finishing in the top six.
David Wall, James Moffat, David Reynolds and Michael Caruso completed the top 10.
Others to note include James Courtney 15, Scott McLaughlin 17, Lee Holdsworth 18, Shane van Gisbergen 20, Garth Tander 22 and Will Davison 24.
Both Holden Racing Team Commodores and Erebus Motorsport Mercedes' suffered left rear tyre punctures during the race.
