Kelly Grove Racing reveals Gen3 Mustang renders

Kelly Grove Racing has released renders of two Gen3-specification Ford Mustangs carrying the team's 2021 liveries.

The Braeside team, which brought the Grove Group onboard in 2021, announced in late 2019 it would run Mustangs in 2020.

It came after the Kelly squad campaigned four Nissan Altimas between 2013 and 2019.

The team is yet to confirm which manufacturer it will run with next season.

The renders, produced by SS Media, show what the current NED Whisky and Penrite-backed cars would look like in a Gen3 guise.

It comes after Erebus Motorsport committed to running General Motors machinery in 2022.

The Erebus squad also released renders, also produced by SS Media, to accompany the announcement.

To date, homologation team Shell V-Power Racing Team (Dick Johnson Racing) and Tickford Racing have committed to Ford.

Erebus, homologation team Triple Eight Race Engineering and Team 18 will continue with General Motors.

The 2022 grid continues to take shape, with Chaz Mostert re-signing with Walkinshaw Andretti United.

The Repco Supercars Championship field will return to North Queensland for the NTI Townsville 500 across July 9-11. Tickets are available here.

The event will be broadcast live on Foxtel and will be streamed on Kayo, and will be broadcast live and free on Seven.
