Ford and Vodafone back five cars in 2019

Vodafone and Ford have announced the backing of a further four vehicles set to join the Supercars grid in 2019.

The Mustang GT Safety Car will be accompanied by a Race Control Mustang GT, Endura ST-Line Race Control Car, Mondeo Hatch Medical Car, Ranger Raptor Recovery Car all backed by Vodafone.

Ford Mustang drivers Chaz Mostert, Cam Waters, Lee Holdsworth and Will Davison met with Adelaide Strikers players Travis Head, Jake Weatherald, Tabby Saville and Amanda Wellington at the Superloop Adelaide 500 circuit to inspect the five new vehicles.

Vodafone Chief Commercial Officer Ben McIntosh said he is proud to extend the brand's on-track presence this year.

"The Mustangs look fabulous and will no doubt serve as a great support for the drivers this year," McIntosh said.

"As a sponsor of both the Supercars and the Adelaide Strikers, it’s fantastic to see both codes come together today in support of the Adelaide community and a big weekend of action on the track."

Ford's Mustang Supercar makes its race debut this weekend in Adelaide, with the Ranger Raptor used as the Recovery Car since late-2018.

Supercars General Manager Commercial – Jamie Black said having the five vehicles supporting the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship will provide great exposure for both Ford and Vodafone in 2019.

"It’s great to have further backing from Ford and Vodafone," Black said.

"Their support helps to power these vehicles to each of our 15 Championship events."
