Kenworth also provides two prime movers to Supercars
The Shell V-Power Racing Team has been boosted by the delivery of a new Supercars transporter.
Penske Australia & New Zealand has delivered an all-new MAN TGX 26.640 transporter to the team ahead of next weekend's betr Darwin Triple Crown.
Dick Johnson Racing fields two Ford Mustangs in the Repco Supercars Championship, and requires one transporter to carry both cars around the country.
DJR, which recently retained carbon neutral status, has now taken delivery of its third MAN truck, which has a 640hp engine.
"With MAN, we’ve always had a highly reliable and efficient prime mover to transport our race cars and equipment to Supercar rounds," DJR CEO David Noble said.
"The new transporter contributes to our mission in achieving carbon-neutral status as a race team, giving us one of the most efficient fuel-burning prime movers on the road.
"Wherever our transporter driver travels across our vast country this year, not only can he count on the might of MAN, but also the extensive support coverage provided by Penske Australia and its comprehensive network of dealers."
DJR's next trip will be the journey north from its Queensland base to Darwin, where Hidden Valley Raceway will play host to Round 5 of the 2024 season.
The DJR transporter will be one of 13 team transporters heading to Darwin, with Triple Eight Race Engineering taking a second for its wildcard entry, and Brad Jones Racing taking two across its four entries.
Kenworth provides two prime movers to Supercars that transport the race equipment and media centre to each round.
