Davison, Crehan welcome birth of first child

Will Davison and Riana Crehan have shared the exciting news of the birth of their first child.

Crehan revealed on social media she gave birth to the couple’s child on Tuesday.

The news comes on the eve of this weekend’s NTI Townsville 500, the sixth round of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship.

Crehan is a long-time Supercars pit reporter, with Davison a third-year driver with the Shell V-Power Racing Team.

Davison and Crehan wed in 2020, with the latter absent from the last start betr Darwin Triple Crown.

Davison joins David Reynolds, Mark Winterbottom, James Courtney, Tim Slade and Andre Heimgartner as fathers on the Supercars grid.

The two-time Bathurst winner said in Darwin that he was eager for the next chapter of his life with Crehan.

“I definitely missed her here, but exciting times,” Davison said.

“We’re very excited for that, it’s a big new chapter ahead.

“I’m really intrigued to see how it will change your outlook on life, it’s a good time for us.

“I’m excited to experience that new chapter in life, it’s going to be amazing.”

The 40-year-old driver is ninth in championship standings heading to the North Queensland event, which will be headlined by two 88-lap, 250km races.

Davison will hit the track for Practice 1 of the NTI Townsville 500 on Friday at 10:10am AEST.
