For the first time in Supercars history, racing fans will get to see the race cars cruise the streets in Australia for a Darwin track to Town event.

All 25 Gen3 Supercars will take to the roads in Darwin before they hit Hidden Valley Raceway, in an Australian first Track to Town event that’s set to get rev heads’ pulses racing. Click here to view the interactive Track to Town map.

The betr Darwin Triple Crown, Supercars' annual Indigenous Round, roars back to Darwin from 14-16 June, and there’s plenty of on and off-track action for the whole family.

The exciting Track to Town will see race cars head into Darwin city, park up at The Esplanade before driving their high-powered vehicles back to Hidden Valley. While at The Esplanade the drivers will do a signing session for fans.

The Track to Town will allow motorsport enthusiasts to see the cars up close in their stunning liveries featuring artwork by Indigenous artists. The Track to Town, which is free, will take place on Thursday 13 June from 4:00pm to 6:00pm near the Esplanade Bicentennial Park playground.

The popular Night Transporter Convoy returns the night before Track to Town, to rev up the city on Wednesday night. Dozens of B-Double trucks will drive from Hidden Valley, to Palmerston and into the Darwin CBD and back with thousands of people expected to line the streets and cheer on the big rigs.

Celebrations in the Darwin CBD for the Convoy will include a Welcome to Country, face painting and at Raintree Park. The action kicks off in the CBD from 4:00pm with the convoy to leave Hidden Valley at 5.45pm and be in the city around 6.50pm.

The family friendly event, which includes two nights of Nitro Up North, is free for children aged 13 and under who are accompanied by a paying adult. 3-Day Hot Passes are just $125 and new this year is The Valley Rodeo – a themed experience in Track Centre that will take your day at the Supercars to the next level. Major Events Minister Brent Potter said: “This is such exciting news to build on having the only Supercars Indigenous Round born here to now having the first time Supercars do a convoy on the streets in Australia.

The Darwin Supercars is one of those bucket-list motorsport events people travel from all over Australia to attend and also take up the opportunity to explore the region from unbeatable fishing to jet skiing to the Mindil Beach Sunset Markets.

“Locals and visitors will be excited by the new additions to this year’s Darwin Triple Crown especially the Track to Town activation which will allow people to see these cars up close.

“The 2024 Darwin Supercars generated a total expenditure stimulus of $27.6 million of which $21.7 million was new money to the Northern Territory.”

Supercars CEO Shane Howard added: “We are incredibly proud to hold the Indigenous Round in Darwin once again this year.

“It will be special to kick it off with the annual Transporter Parade and for the first time, a full-field Track to Town event on Thursday night that I encourage all of Darwin to get out and watch.

“The roar of 25 Supercars through the streets is something we are very proud to be bringing to life in Darwin this year.

“The return of the Night Transporter Convoy is something we are all looking forward to. It's an incredible spectacle that brings together the community and fans from all over, creating a fantastic atmosphere that sets the stage for an exciting weekend at Hidden Valley.”

  • Route: Leave circuit through the venue to public road, Hidden Valley Road onto Tiger Brennan Drive, Tiger Brennan Drive, Tiger Brennan Drive (just prior to Benison Rd), Tiger Brennan Drive (just prior to Frances Bay Drive), left onto Tiger Brennan Connector, Bennett St, left onto Herbert St, right onto the Esplanade

  • End Point: The Esplanade

  • Free Autograph Session for fans: 5:00pm to 5:50pm

  • Supercars depart Darwin and return to circuit: 5:55pm
