After a year of action, great rivalries, exceptional showmanship and a range of winners, it’s finally come down to one race.

Red Bull teammates Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes will battle it out, 110 points the difference between the two.

Whincup is going for his fifth V8 Supercars Championship win, and Lowndes is looking to break the drought, 14 years after his last title.

Who will hold up the trophy at the end of the day? Make sure you are here to see it at the Sydney NRMA Motoring & Services 500. Tickets are available at the gate and through Ticketek.

It’s easy to get to the Sydney Olympic Park circuit for Sydney-siders with a range of free public transport options, and the weather is fine and sunny, perfect to stroll around he circuit and see everything on display.

There’s action on track all day – racing has already begun with the Formula Fords opening the morning.

Aussie Racing Cars and V8 Utes will also be on track, and there are a range of activities for those coming with mates or the family.

At 11.25am local the Fan Experience sees drivers and their V8 Supercars on track for the final autograph session of the season.

Rub shoulders with your favourites and wish them luck for today’s 250km race – will there be as much carnage today as we saw yesterday?

Speaking of rubbing shoulders – a number of celebrities are attending the event, so keep your eyes peeled for a music, sports or TV star.

The V8 Supercars will qualify at 12.40pm, followed by the Dunlop Series’ final race. Dale Wood has already been decided as the Champion, but will he take out the last race? Will Casey Stoner finish on the podium in his final race behind the wheel of a V8 Supercar?

And then at 3pm it happens – the big race. Can Lowndes topple Whincup? Can Whincup equal the greats?

While the battle at the top has plenty of focus on it, there are other battles throughout the points – who will tumble down the order and who will improve their overall standing for the year?

Be there to find out in the flesh or see the various Ways to Follow here.

Today we crown a Champion.
