Xbox is back

Xbox has announced a continuation of its partnership with DJR Team Penske for the endurance rounds of the 2015 V8 Supercar Championship.

This will see the Xbox Race Car livery for all races in the Pirtek Enduro Cup, made up of the Wilson Security Sandown 500, Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 and Castrol Gold Coast 600 races.

The popular green livery first seen the team's Falcon at Homebush in 2014 for Marcos Ambrose's wild card entry has been refreshed and will be driven in the three crucial events by Ambrose and Scott Pye.

Today's announcement was welcomed by Penske Corporation Chairman Roger Penske.

"The 2014 Homebush V8 Supercar race marked the beginning of our relationship with Xbox," Penske said.

"It formed the foundation for the strength of the alliance between Xbox and DJR Team Penske, which has generated a lot of interest with the media and our fans.

"Xbox became one of our premium partners in 2015 and we are delighted to feature the Xbox brand on our Ford Falcon FG X for the three endurance races in the V8 Supercars Championship.

"Obviously, we would love to see Marcos Ambrose and Scott Pye win their first Bathurst 1000 and we are really looking forward to carrying the familiar Xbox colours at these prestigious events."

The DJR Team Penske #17 Ford Falcon has been touted a serious contender for Bathurst this season, with many awaiting Ambrose's comeback behind the wheel.
