The Repco Supercars Championship returns to Hidden Valley Raceway for this weekend’s fifth round of the 2021 season – the Merlin Darwin Triple Crown.

The event marks the first visit to Northern Territory this season, with Darwin to host its 25th championship event.

With just two days until the cars hit the track for Practice 1 at Hidden Valley Raceway, Supercars.com has listed some answers to key questions ahead of the event.

The Merlin Darwin Triple Crown will be a three-day event held across June 18-20.

The race weekend will feature three 38-lap races, one on Saturday and two on Sunday.

Drivers will be competing for the coveted Merlin Darwin Triple Crown which has only been won twice since its inception, Scott McLaughlin in 2019 and Jamie Whincup in 2020.

The Merlin Darwin Triple Crown will be staged in accordance with all applicable government regulations, including those responding to COVID-19, as well as a detailed COVIDSafe Event Plan prepared by Supercars and approved by government.

Event organisers encourage attendees to stay COVID Safe by washing their hands as often as possible, keeping a safe distance from others and checking in using the Territory Check In App. To download the app, click here.

The event will be broadcast in full on Foxtel and will be streamed on Kayo and will be broadcast live and free on Seven. Check out the full TV schedule here.

The support line-up will be headlined by the Stadium Super Trucks and Australian Superbikes, with a five-hour Nitro Up North Drag Racing event to light up Friday night.

Matt Mingay and the Hot Wheels Stuntz Crew will thrill fans trackside hosting three incredible stunt shows across Saturday and Sunday.

With something for the whole family, kids can enjoy a wide-range of track-side entertainment with a Saturday night concert featuring ARIA Award winner and Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning and Darwin’s own alternative rock band Rock Draft Day. The full weekend schedule can be viewed here.

All valid entry tickets for Friday allow access to the drag racing.

All valid entry tickets for Saturday allow access to the Saturday night concert.

Children aged 13 and under are free to enter the venue in general admission areas, however they must be always accompanied by their ticket-holding parent or guardian. Children require tickets for hospitality and grandstand areas.

Gates open at 10am for viewing of practice sessions by the Supercars, Australian Superbikes and Stadium Super Trucks on Friday and at 5pm for the Nitro Up North show.

Gates open at 7am on Saturday and Sunday.

Paddock access is available for Accredited staff, teams and contractors plus patrons who have purchased a Pit Paddock Pass.

The corporate experience facilities are located within the Paddock and guests are instructed to enter via Gate 13.

Hidden Valley is located approximately 10 kilometres from Darwin CBD.

Tickets include access to free public transport. Key routes include Darwin City, Stuart Park, Fannie Bay, Nightcliff, Casuarina, Hidden Valley Holiday Park, Palmerston, and rural areas.

There is free public parking at the venue located at Gate 3.

Fans are welcome to bring outside food and there will be food and beverage outlets located around the venue, as indicated on the Track Map.

Merchandise stalls will be located near Gate 13 and next to The Hill.

We encourage fans to bring their own chairs and picnic blankets, Hidden Valley is a natural amphitheatre with plenty of natural and temporary shade throughout the venue to sit under.

Please be courteous when queuing for entry/exit, for food and beverages or for merchandise purchases and always keep 1.5 metres from other patrons.

Interstate patrons must apply for a travel permit before entering the Northern Territory.

Please use the sanitiser stations available to you at key entry and exit points.

Otherwise, as with all events, patrons must not attend if feeling unwell or if they have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case.
