It was a busy Tuesday of mid-season testing for several Supercars teams at Winton Motor Raceway.

The likes of Tickford Racing, Team 18, Walkinshaw Andretti United, Erebus Motorsport, Brad Jones Racing all hit the 3.0km layout.

It marked the first running at the rural Victorian venue for several teams since official pre-season testing back in February.

That day, Erebus rookie Will Brown topped the time sheets.

The day was designated as one of the rookie tests, with teams focusing on testing new development items.

Several co-drivers, such as Team 18 duo Michael Caruso and James Golding, along with WAU’s Lee Holdsworth and Warren Luff, turned laps.

Retired 2006 champion Rick Kelly also took part with Kelly Grove Racing, marking his first running since a Phillip Island ride day earlier this year.

It also marked a key day for teams to hone in on their set-ups ahead of next weekend’s Winton SuperSprint.

Next weekend’s event will see the new Dunlop Super Soft tyre compound used for the first time.

The Repco Supercars Championship field will return to Victoria for the Winton SuperSprint across May 28-30. Tickets are available here.
