TCM, S5000 confirmed at 2022 Supercars events

TCM and S5000 will feature at select Supercars support cards

Touring Car Masters and S5000 will feature at select Repco Supercars Championship support cards in 2022.

The popular TCM and S5000 categories both featured at the recent six-day Repco Bathurst 1000.

TCM announced its calendar for 2022, and will open its season at the Repco Newcastle 500 on March 4-6.

TCM will return to a Supercars event at Townsville in July.

TCM competed at the Repco Bathurst 1000

The S5000 Australian Drivers’ Championship will race alongside Supercars at at the Formula One Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park and at Supercars' Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley.

The three-round S5000 Tasman Series will conclude at the Supercars season finale at Sydney Motorsport Park in November.

"We have worked hard to build Touring Car Masters throughout 2021 and put the category in the best position to flourish in 2022, and the new calendar reflects that,” TCM category manager Liam Curkpatrick said.

"Returning to key Supercars marquee events like Newcastle and Townsville not only follows competitor feedback but also reflects the popularity of the category in fans that attend those incredible street circuit events each year.

S5000 in Sydney last month

Australian Racing Group CEO Matt Braid added: "The 2022 S5000 calendar includes a great mixture of high-profile events and fantastic circuits that will really suit the cars as we continue to grow Australia’s premier open wheel series.

"From the streets of the Gold Coast to our debut in Darwin and a highly anticipated return to the Grand Prix and the debut of the Bathurst International, there are key major events spread throughout the year."

The Dunlop Series will feature at six Supercars events in 2022, joining TCM in Newcastle and Townsville, and S5000 in Sydney.

The 13-event 2022 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Newcastle next year. Tickets for the event are on sale now.

The 13-round draft calendar was released during the Repco Bathurst 1000 weekend.
