Support categories to put on a show at Pukekohe

A number of New Zealand’s leading race categories will feature at the ITM Auckland SuperSprint.

Four different support class categories will each get their chance to shine at Pukekohe Park across September 9-11.

Tickets are on sale now through Supercars.com and Ticketek.

The ITM Auckland SuperSprint will feature the Toyota Gazoo Racing 86 Series, Central Muscle Cars, Historic Touring Cars and Formula Ford.

Supercars will be on track on all three days of the event, including Friday practice, qualifying and a race on Saturday and two races on Sunday.

Four-time Bathurst winner Greg Murphy, who will return to pitlane reporting for the event, will also race a historic Ford Sierra in the Historic Touring Cars field.

The Central Muscle Cars Club will be celebrating its 20th anniversary at Pukehoke, showcasing its thundering and power-sliding Australian and American muscle cars.

Rising stars from the Toyota Gazoo Racing 86 Series New Zealand will complete two 20-minute practice sessions, ahead of a 20-minute qualifying session and three races.

The one-make series is offering a prize pool of almost $25,000 for the one-off weekend, marking the biggest prize for a single weekend of racing in the history of the Toyota 86 Championship.

The 2019 Auckland round drew a crowd of 113,999 fans.

The upcoming ITM Auckland SuperSprint, on September 9-11, will be the final Supercars round at Pukekohe.

Pukekohe Park has announced it will cease motorsport activities in 2023.
