Next weekend’s return to Perth also marks the maiden voyage to the west for the Haltech V8 SuperUtes Series.

A 15-entry field will tackle Wanneroo Raceway, five weeks after the season began in Tasmania.

The top three in the standings are covered by just 10 points.

Woods leads Craig Dontas by five points, with Aaron Borg third.

George Gutierrez scored a Tasmania podium, and is within reach of the points lead.

Previous race winner David Sieders and former V8 Touring Car Series winner Josh Hunter have joined the grid.

Hunter replaces Jaiden Maggs, and has aligned with the Sieders Racing Team.

The 15-strong field will first hit Wanneroo Raceway for opening practice on Friday April 29.
