Supercars committed to NTI Townsville 500

Supercars has released the following statement this morning, regarding the running of next week’s NTI Townsville 500.

"In light of the upgraded restrictions in Queensland, Supercars will continue to adhere to all government health advice as we proceed towards our next event in Townsville from July 9-11.

"As always, we will continue to monitor the situation in Queensland and around Australia, to ensure the health and safety of our staff and fans remains our highest priority."

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced this morning a snap three-day lockdown from 6pm tonight that will cover most of south east Queensland, including Greater Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Townsville.

The NTI Townsville 500 is scheduled to go ahead on the North Queensland street circuit from 9-11 July as the sixth event of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship.
