Chaz Mostert and Lee Holdsworth have accepted their winners’ plaque in celebration of their 2021 victory.

Last December, Mostert and Holdsworth combined to win the race in a canter.

It was the second win for Mostert, and first for Holdsworth in his 18th start.

The drivers accepted the plaque during the in-town signing session on Wednesday.

Hundreds of fans braved the conditions to meet drivers on Kings Parade.

There, Mostert and Holdsworth’s 2021 win was immortalised in the plaque.

The plaque will be fitted along the famous Victor's Walk in Russell Street in downtown Bathurst.

Mostert and Holdsworth won’t defend their victory together, with the latter sealing a full-time comeback.

Holdsworth was recruited by Penrite Racing alongside David Reynolds.

Both drivers are determined to defend their win, even if it means they have to get their elbows out on each other.

Mostert will race with Fabian Coulthard, whose best finish is third in 2017.

Holdsworth, meanwhile, will be partnered by rookie Matt Payne.

Next year, Payne will replace Holdsworth, who will retire from full-time driving.

“It’s so awesome to be back at Bathurst, there’s just nothing quite like this week,” Mostert said.

“We head in confident, but like we all know, anything can happen at Bathurst.

“We often joke that the Bathurst gods have picked the winner, we are just along for the ride.

“It’s been awesome having Fabs with us so far this year, nice to be able to actually race together now.

“Looking forward to getting the weekend started and building from there.”

Cars will hit the track at Mount Panorama for Practice 1 on Thursday.

Tickets for the Repco Bathurst 1000 are available on Supercars.com and Ticketek.
