Tickford Racing has uncovered the Tradie-backed Mustang recruit Jake Kostecki will race in 2022.

Kostecki is one of two Tickford recruits alongside Thomas Randle and incumbents Cam Waters and James Courtney.

The former Matt Stone Racing driver is, however, the only of the quartet to have never raced for the Ford team.

Workwear and lifestyle brand Tradie adorns Kostecki’s Mustang, which is matte black with yellow trimmings.

Kostecki will race with the #56 this season, a number he used in karting.

It's one of two new numbers at Tickford, with Randle returning the #55 to the team on a full-time basis.

Tickford launched Kostecki’s new livery on Monday with a video that sees the new-look Mustang sliding around a warehouse.

"The Tradie Mustang looks mega,” 22-year old Kostecki said.

“She sure is fun to rip around in, it’s a really fun way to bring Tradie into the category as a major partner.

"I’m pumped about this season and joining Tickford Racing.

"I’m really enjoying being part of the team and think we can have a great year in the 56 camp.

"We’re all looking forward to hitting the track tomorrow and starting the season strong next weekend in Sydney.”

Kostecki will join his teammates at Winton Motor Raceway for pre-season testing on Tuesday.

He will make his Tickford debut in Sydney next weekend.

The Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight will open the 2022 Repco Supercars Championship on March 4-6.
