Andre Heimgartner’s start to 2023 has gotten even better, with partner Jemma Boskovich giving birth to the couple’s first child.

The couple’s exciting family news was first revealed after last September’s round in Heimgartner’s native New Zealand.

Baby girl Summer arrived in the lead-up to next weekend’s Beaurepaires Melbourne SuperSprint.

The Brad Jones Racing driver proposed to long-time partner Jemma Boskovich last May.

“She’s here and we are so in love,” she posted to social media.

The couple’s news adds to what has been a big 12 months off the track for Supercars drivers.

Tim Slane married wife Dani before the couple welcomed their second child.

James Courtney married partner Tegan, before the couple welcomed their first child together.

David Reynolds is also expecting his second child with partner Tahan, while Jack Le Brocq also proposed to partner Kenzie.

Heimgartner joins Courtney, Slade, Reynolds and Mark Winterbottom as fathers on the 2023 Supercars grid.

That group will grow later this year, with Will Davison and wife Riana also expecting their first child.

Heimgartner will resume his 2023 season next weekend in Melbourne fourth in the standings after a strong return in Newcastle.

The Kiwi brought home two top 10 finishes, and is 69 points from the series lead heading to Albert Park.

He also managed to fit in a flying trip to Sepang for a GT enduro race, just prior to the birth of his daughter.

“It was an interesting weekend, for us it was up and down,” Heimgartner told the Schick Cool Down Lap podcast of Newcastle.

“We’re equal fourth in the championship, which is really good for us.

“We’re happy considering we lacked a bit of pace in qualifying starting 13th, but managed to come home seventh.

“Overall, a good learning weekend, good for the sport, and we didn’t have many problems, which was nice.”
